About the Editors
Betsy Wallace works remotely in Madison, WI as a Program Manager for the National Home Office of the American Cancer Society, based in Atlanta, Georgia. Before working in nonprofits, she was a Legislative Aide in the Wisconsin State Assembly. She’s also spent time as a campaign staffer in downtown Atlanta (shout out to Kwanza Hall!) and northern Wisconsin. Betsy is working on her MBA through the University of Wisconsin’s evening program and lives with her husband, Ryan, a veterinary medicine student and son, Grant.
Kate Nigh is a Wisconsin-ite at heart, but is currently making her home in Providence, Rhode Island. Kate works for the Rhode Island Department of Education as a Science and Technology Specialist after working (hard) as an alternative education teacher in both West Allis and rural Maine. Kate has a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and lives with her sewing machine and her husband, Greg, a chef.
Kate and Betsy are sisters who grew up watching Oshkosh school board meetings with their parents on public television. They have two younger siblings: Mary, a social activist/student/baker in Milwaukee and Karl, a student.
